  • CITY: Sunderland is a friendly city Sunderland is a vibrant city that benefits from a metropolitan city centre and coastal scenery including a beach. Sunderland is also only 30 minutes away from Newcastle Upon Tyne, another lively city, and we are in easy reach of Gateshead and Durham. There are online/remote opportunities like customer service, online tutors, and regular jobs with agencies for healthcare assistant, warehouse operatives and cleaning roles. Although there are limited student jobs in this city, there are more opportunities in surrounding cities like Newcastle.
  • TUITION: The university has an average tuition of £13,000 for postgraduate international students with discounts available. This figure though can change depending on degree and course. Most specialised courses usually have a slightly higher tuition fee than most.
  • STANDARD OF LIVING: Sunderland is the third most affordable city in the UK according to a 2021 survey. The average standard of living in Hatfield is 11% cheaper than that of Birmingham. The average cost of a single room in this city is £500 per calendar month while the average cost of a 2-bedroom house or flat is £700 (this in turn is also dependant on whether it is furnished or unfurnished). With the current world change and rise in Inflation most areas have experienced an increase in price. For example, cost of housing, feeding and most basic amenities like electricity and gas prices have gone up.

  • UNDERGRADUATE
    The minimum requirement to be considered for entry into their undergraduate programmes you need to hold any of the following: an Ordinary National Diploma (OND), Higher National Diploma (HND), a recognised foundation from Nigeria, successful completion of Year 1 bachelor’s degree from any accredited University and WAEC or NECO/ KSCE in English language with at least a C6.
