Uclan is one of the largest University in the Northwest of England and has been in an existence since 1828.
UCLAN is in the Northwest of England in the UK and has been recognized as the top University in providing student satisfaction in Northwest of England. After students Reviews, they were ranked as the 4th University in providing student satisfaction in the UK.
UCLAN is a multi-campus university, they have three campuses in UK which is Preston campus, Westlake’s campus, and Burnley campus with an additional campus located in Cyprus. Preston is their main Campus and Burnley is another campus that has some of the courses Preston has. Westlake campus has all the Science courses such as Nursing, Medicine, and Physician Associates taken more at Westlake’s campus. The University is working on adding more courses at Westlake campus.
UCLAN also has a partnership with University of Mauritius. When a student finishes at the University of Mauritius he or she will get dual certificates, one from UCLAN and one from University of Mauritius.
HND, Third Class, and Benin Republic certificate holders are required to apply for TOP-UP Programs ONLY.
The University has over 400 undergraduate courses and 200 postgraduate courses. The University has about 200 slots for international students to register with them. The University offers a clinical placement in partnership with NHS, which enables students to be in placement from year one till they graduate.
UCLAN also offers an intercalated master’s to their Undergraduate Medicine Students, whereby Students studying Medicine (5years program) can decide to Pulse their study at 400level so as to run their master’s program, before completing their final year Undergraduate course.
Note: UCLAN do not accept only WAEC for direct entry into their MBBS Medicine & Surgery program, for students to come into MBBS Medicine & Surgery year one, they must have A Level, AA student must also have an IELTS 7.0 Overall and 7.0 each Band and the student must pass a physical MMI (Multiple Mini Interview) which is done in Kenya/UK.
